Gorrick 20th Anniversary Races at Crowthorne

1992... just take a moment to think back to what you were doing then, 20 years ago. How old were you? What did your bike look like? And howabout the lycra?
So how great to see 40 riders enjoy the 2 lap Vintage race during the best of the Autumn sun. One lucky chap even walked away with a fistful of notes... well 500 quid to be exact just for taking part. Congratulations Ian Grist, you even managed 18th place in the race too.
A massive THANK YOU has to go to Jon and Jane Lucas who should perhaps be more affectionately known as Mr and Mrs Gorrick! Without their enthusiasm, thousands of man hours behind the scenes, and unwavering committment to mountain biking in the area we probably would never have reached such a milestone. Also thanks to all the rest of the Gorrick team over the years who have not only helped progress the sport but shaped the way mtb racing is in the UK. And finally to the riders, give yourselves a pat on the back, you all just keep coming back for more. We were heartened to receive so many emails and letters from people who couldn't make the event today but wished everyone great success. What shall we do for the quarter century?
