Gorrick Spring Series R3 - Sunday 8 March

by Jane Lucas, 26 Feb 15.

Round 3 of the XC Spring Series is on Sunday 8 March and is headline sponsored by Saddle Skedaddle a travel company who are utterly convinced that riding a bike is the best way to travel and explore, and are committed to offering the right support, guidance and care to make a holiday superb. Some lucky Series prize winners will be able to check this out for themselves.

Taking place at Porridge Pot Hill, Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey, GU16 6TU, you can expect a classic course with a mix of short sharp climbs, some longer, gentler ones, plus some fast singletrack descents. As the car park and Arena are surrounded on three sides by much of the course, it's a particularly spectator friendly venue. There will be the usual friendly welcome, full facilities, trade stands plus generous spot prize vouchers to be won from our sponsors, please support them as they support our sport:

Mountain Trax based in Wokingham, Berks. Proud to be innovative, whilst maintaining their status as a high quality, well stocked store with full workshop facilities that always puts customer service first.

1st Gear Cycles based in Alton, Hants. A wide range of bikes and accessories in stock for all riders and full workshop facilities.

Banjo Cycles based in Newbury, Berks. Full workshop facilities and proud of their reputation as the ‘Go To’ store for everything on 2 wheels.

Owens Cycles based in Petersfield and Four Marks, Hants and offering friendly, comprehensive servicing, sales and repairs.

Beyond Mountain Bikes based in Cranleigh, Surrey. Passionate about giving riders the best advice and help so that they can find exactly what they need.

Griffs Cycle Lab based in Crowthorne, Berks. Passionate about making cycling accessible to all through friendly, supportive service, workshop facilities and a product range that delivers great value.

We're expecting more great racing, and you can check out the current Series points here. At this round, riders who have already gained Series points will be gridded. Remember, to be a contender to win a superb Series trophy from our sponsor Four4th Lights and a prize from one of our sponsors you need to have gained points in AT LEAST 3 OUT OF 4 ROUNDS, and ALL ROUNDS WILL COUNT. Expert riders are, once again, racing for prize money pots which will be rolled over and awarded on the podium at the final round.

You can pre-enter this event online until the evening of Tuesday 3 March, please bring your receipt with you if you do and you can go straight to Entry Express at Event Registration. Otherwise, you can always enter on the day, as usual. Full details are here and pre-event updates will go up on Twitter and Facebook as usual.
