Gorrick Spring XC Classic 1 - Sunday 18 February - entry filling fast - new Vintage Vets category

by Jane Lucas, 13 Feb 24.

This Spring we are running 3 Classic XC race events on 3 different 4 mile courses at our all weather venue at Highlands Farm, Frimley Green, Surrey GU16 6HT.

The first event is coming up on Sunday 18 February and, due to parking availability, ENTRY IS LIMITED TO 200 RIDERS. Entry has been brisk and is well over 100 already, so enter now ONLINE if you do want to ride, as there almost certainly won't be any entries on the day available, and we do hate riders being disappointed.

There are categories for riders of all ages and abilities from age 8+. Plus there's a 2 lap NEW CATEGORY, the Vintage Veterans for riders over 70.

Expect a friendly, well-organised event with a 4 mile prepped course with enough overtaking places to ensure highly enjoyable racing. The arena will have full facilities including catering and toilets. Spectators are welcome if they arrive in the SAME VEHICLE as an entered racer.

There'll be www.four4th.co.uk trophies presented on the podium with spot prizes to be won courtesy of cycle performance coach Sally Bigham PhD www.ironsallycoaching.com As you'll know, Sally was a full time, fully sponsored professional mtb rider for over 10 years, and won virtually every top race there is to win including being European Marathon Champion. She says: "It is my experience gained over 10 years of professional cycling that enables me to coach with a thorough understanding of not only the specific needs of an athlete, but also the knowledge of what it takes to achieve our personal goals." You can contact Sally for information at IRON SALLY COACHING

Event details and entry are at with a cash prize draw for riders entering all 3 events which will be drawn at the first event. Pre-entry will be open until FULL or until late next Wednesday 14 February. All pre-entered riders will receive a pre-event information email once entry has closed and course updates will be posted on our GORRICK FACEBOOK
