Terms and Conditions Of Entry

Fun for beginners as well as challenging for experienced cyclists. Route planning is just as important as fitness. Enjoy some excellent offroad cycling and then finish for food, drink, socialising and a prizegiving.

What is a TrailTrax?

It's a cycle orienteering event using mountain bikes for pairs or single riders visiting offroad checkpoints over a set period of time. Entrants to receive an Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 map extract printed on waterproof paper with the checkpoints pre-marked and a waterproof checkcard for punching which gives the checkpoint values.

The aim is to navigate and cycle to as many checkpoints as possible, choosing your own route to collect the highest score and return within your time limit. You can of course just ride around collecting a few checkpoints and enjoy the scenery! There are prizes at the end of the event for the top riders in each category.

Riders new to TrailTrax are always made very welcome and should you have any questions on the day of the event, our friendly staff will be on hand to help you get the best from your day.
SERIES LEAGUE TABLE
All five TrailTrax events this year form a Series with the best 4 from 5 rounds to count. Whether you ride solo or as a pair you will be given the points individually to compare and contrast with other competitors.

PRE-MARKED WATERPROOF MAPS
Every entrant will receive a waterproof full colour map pre-marked with the checkpoint position. You will be given the map when you register, to allow you time to plan your event. We will produce a sensible quantity of waterproof maps and can produce additional maps on the day of the event but we cannot guarantee that these will be waterproof. However, all pre-entered riders are guaranteed a waterproof map.
